JIVA
Reviewed: "Anyone's Angel", "Undercover" & "Real or Remembered" MP3's

Excellent atmospheric female fronted rock from Detroit. The obvious and easy comparison is Evanescence - haunting vocals about things like angels and redemption sung to quiet verses / louder choruses. Another comparison would be the Sister of Mercy's 'Temple of Love' - but without the male vocal lines!
All of the songs are well crafted and show a strong element of song writing ability - Led Zeppelin style guitar widdles fill the songs and break up the vocals nicely, with a strong backing line keeping things flowing.
The three songs really wouldnt be out of place on a movie sound track or something - it really is scene setting music, with some great harmonies and riffs.
Something must have gone wrong when Jiva were naming their MP3's, because once downloaded and played using media player they have two songs that are listed as 'Undercover'. Anyway, my favourite track would be the version of Undercover that's 4:11 long, but this could be 'Real or Remembered'. But it doesn't really matter what they're called - go and download the three of them anyway!
The Best Bit: The voice.
The Worst Bit: Getting confused by the song titles!
