VOLTCASE BLACK RAINBOW INTERVIEW:

Welcome to Voltcase, Luci, how are things?

Bit stressful at the moment! I am in the process of completing my degree and trying to fit in work and shoots!

So, how would you describe yourself to a stranger in three words?

Volatile

How far does the 'alternative' look reflect your overall lifestyle, such as your taste in music and films?

I guess my appearance does give an indication of what I am into. I do enjoy horror films such as Halloween, Basket Case and The Hills Have Eyes. I like to read books about serial killers as I am curious to what drives people to kill. Generally, my musical taste is based around metal and industrial music but I also enjoy Arabic pop music :p

There's a lot of red and black going on in your photos - are they your main two colours of choice? Ever use any other colours?

The reason why I have a red and black image is because red is the only colour hair which I can get away with at my job! Or else the customers will complain apparently. Red does not really go with any other colour in my opinion. I would love to try out electric blue but that would sadly have to wait until I become self employed.

Any personal guidelines on what you will / wont do regards to modelling? And any advice to anyone out there whose just starting out?

I wont do any nude work simply because I do not have the confidence to! My best advice for anybody starting out is to not do any levels which you are not comfortable with because these images will haunt the internet forever. Also, choose to work with photographers who are skilled - so ones who have an eye for a good photograph and can edit them properly. I have seen some bloody awful images about. Its quality, not quantity.

Any piercing's or tattoos that you want to tell us about?

I am really into Ancient Egypt so I have two Egyptian eyes on my shoulders which I drew myself. I am also currently stretching my tongue and think it would be cool if I can poke my little finger through it! :p

Any rock-star style stories that you can tell us about? Ever thrown a TV out of a hotel window, for example?

Sadly I was too intoxicated to remember but I apparently asked a policeman how big his 'dinkle' was. Luckily for me the policeman had a sense of humour! I also drank way too much aftershock and ended up going home in an ambulance... If there is anything else, I apologise because I do not remember :p

If you were interviewing yourself, what question would you ask yourself? And what would the answer be?

That's a difficult question! Um, I would ask "Have you got any fears?" and I would tell you how I hate veins/wrists/needles all at the same time and how bad it makes me cringe.

So, what does the future hold for you this year?

I should be a post graduate and hopefully become self employed this year doing graphic design! As far as shoots go, I got a couple of exciting ones coming up but you'll just have to wait and see.

And finally, the question that we ask everyone that appears in Voltcase - what does the word 'Voltcase' mean?

An electrical version of a Pandora's Box!
